Squeezing work before Xmas

-Last Friday and Saturday, William and Joe scored a 5 minute 3D reel for Max-Q Trailers. Lot's of breakbeats and orchestral pieces.
-Today: William and Tara of Little Lemon continued working on her live music beds for her forthcoming shows in early 2010.
-On Tuesday, William will be doing pre-production on indie singer Jessie Deluxe's 2nd song for her forthcoming album due out in 2010
-Wed. Dec. 23rd and Sat. the 26th- William will be editing and mixing a director's commentary for feature comedy, "Slammin' Salmon," starring Michael Clarke Duncan, Cobie Smulders, Steve Lemme, Kevin Heffernan, April Bowlby, Vivica A. Fox, Morgan Fairchild and Sendhil Ramamurthy.

Music B4 Thanksgiving & December Updates (-:

-(Mon 23rd-Tues. 24th) Producer William Tabanou is working with Tara Laura of "Little lemon" today to finish mixing the final song (Sick In The Head) on her forth coming album to be titled "The Makeover."  Also, 17 year old singer Mckenzie is recording with William tonight to complete a demo and tomorrow her vocals will be edited and final mixed to the instrumental tracks.

-William and Chris are scheduled to work on a short film called "It Can Be Arranged," directed by Jorge Suarez, starting next week.  In addition, William will begin producing Jesse Deluxe 's new material for her new album.  

-3 music cues which William just mixed two weeks ago for composer David Bateman of True Music have just been placed on a new TV show called "White Collar," which airs on the USA network.

Saga Continues Next Week

-Is "Sick In The Head" the last song Producer William Tabanou & Tara Laura are working on for "Little Lemon's" forth coming album? Yep, they think so...We'll see, it's going so great!!!  Also, The Eels cover, "My Beloved Monster," they recently completed  just got added to KCRW's song rotation.  That's 2 songs with them so far. (-:  

-William and composer Dave will make mix tweaks on the third cut of 

composer/cellist extraordinaire Adina Spire and Dave Bateman's avant-garde classical album due out in 2010. 

-William is also scheduled to record and mix vocals on Mckenzie's (up and coming singer) demo next week.

Little Lemon teams up with Tara's Brother Pey

Tara Laura of Little Lemon and Producer William Tabanou teamed up with Tara's younger brother Pey to do a remix of  "U Walked Away," a song on Little Lemon's debut EP.  Vocals being recorded this week.

American Cowslip in Austin, TX

Mark David's "American Cowslip," which we completed the post sound design and mix back in February of this year, will be screening at the Austin Film Festival on October 23rd and 28th.  It has also been picked to be in the competition!!  Good luck Mark!!  

"My Beloved Monster"

Producer William Tabanou and Tara Laura (Little Lemon) are putting the finishing touches on "My Beloved Monster," an Eels cover tune.  Next, it's on to remixing "U walked Away," which was on her debut EP called "U," released in early 2008.  Little Lemon's full length album is scheduled to drop early 2010, if not earlier. Actor Jeremy Renner

We mixed a 2 min. acting reel today for critically acclaimed actor Jeremy Renner.  William continues working with Parris Bauer on her "Music Sound Therapy" Compilation tomorrow.

Star Trek DVD Featurette

We just completed sound editing and mixing an 18 minute Star Trek dvd bonus featurette yesterday.

Little Lemon "My Way" getting is there

-Little Lemon's Tara Laura and William are almost done with a new song called "My Way."  Then, it will be on to another...  

-Tomorrow, (August 18th), William and Dave Bateman get together to do finishing touches on two Avant-garde classical epic songs called Lamento and Juxta.  

-Thusrday, August 19th, it's time to edit some piano parts for Parris Bauer's 2009 piano & vocal only version of an older song of hers called "New Wings."

Director Commentary

We just edited and mixed a director commentary last night for Michael Meredith's new film "The Open Road" starring Jeff Bridges, Justin Timberlake, Lyle Lovette and Kate Mara.

Week of Aug. 10th-15th

Aug. 10th & 11th: William and Tara (Little Lemon) continue working on newest song called "My Way."

Aug. 12th - 14th:  William and David Bateman continue mixing the Avant-garde classical music.

Aug. 15th:  William and Parris Bauer will be composing more "New Age" healing music for Parris' next Sound Therapy compilation.

American Cowslip screens tonight at the Arclight in Hollywood

AMERICAN COWSLIP which we recently sound designed and mixed is screening at the Arclight tonight at 7:30 pm.   It stars Academy Award Nominee DIANE LADD, Academy Award Nominee RIP TORN, Academy Award Winner CLORIS LEACHMAN, Academy Award Nominee BRUCE DERN, HANNA HALL, VAL KILMER and Academy Award Nominee PETER FALK, and RONNIE GENE BLEVINS.  Also, Cowslip has been showing at the Regency theater in Hollywood for two weeks now.

We just delivered a last minute sound mix this morning for a Ringling Bros. :30 sec. TV spot.  Yep, it's that time of year again for the lions and the acrobats to entertain!

Avant-garde classical music

We will be mixing some classical music with monk chants starting next Wednesday August 5th.  L.A. based Composer David Bateman (Lincoln Heights) and Romanian Cellist virtuoso Adina Spire ("Passion Of Christ" music conductor) have teamed up to create beautifully crafted avant-garde classical music exuding an epic movie scoring quality.  The live orchestra and Monk chants tracks were recorded in Romania.

Little Lemon back in the studio

Little Lemon will be back in the studio early next week to record 2 new songs which William will produce, engineer and mix.

June 22nd-27th (Music Week)

-Lead singer of Little Lemon, Tara Laura, and William are preparing instrumental back up tracks this week for her show at Crane's Tavern in Hollywood on July 1st at 9:30pm.  She'll also have a DJ, guitarist and drummer accompanying her.   

-Le Kat's album "Boudoir Rouge" is scheduled to be mastered this Wednesday, June 24th.  

-More writing sessions are scheduled this week for the "Sound Therapy" CD compilation that will be out this fall.

-Little Lemon's first single "Feel U," which was recorded, mixed and Produced by William at Tab Sound Design (AKA JAM Sound) is on rotation on KCRW in LA.

-We are completing all sound deliverables for feature film comedy, "Capers," which is set for worldwide release in November '09.

-On a musical note, Le kat's new record "Boudoir Rouge" is days away from being done, and will be sent to the mastering house soon after. Also, Little Lemon's remix of "Never Turned Away" is in the mixing stage.

(April 30th_2009) We're proud to announce Morgan Spurlock will be presenting "Last Cup: Road To The World Series Of Beer Pong" at the Los Angeles United Film Festival (sound design & mix completed in '08).  We'll be completing foreign deliverables for "Last Cup" in early May.

(Jan. 21st-March 13th_2009) We recently completed sound designing and mixing the feature film "The Gods of Circumstance," starring John Schneider, Brian Krause, and Cate Cohen.  It will be screening on opening night at the British Film Festival in May.  We are also scheduled to do all the post sound on the feature documentary "Regeneration" some time this spring.

(June 24th_2008) "All The Way Home," a documentary on Iraq war veterans going on a fishing trip to unwind a little, screened and was hosted by CAA benefiting "The Lifeline For America's Veterans."  We provided sound design and mixing for the show back in November 2007.  Next Month, we are proud to announce director Edward Nachtrieb will screen the film in front of the U.S. Congress.

MUSIC NEWS

-(March 17th-May 5th_2009) William Tabanou will resume producing, engineering and mixing indie singer/songwriter Kat Lester's 2nd album due out in middle '09.   Kat is best known as the "Lady In Lavender" in the original "Phantasm." 

 

-(Spring/Summer_2009) William will be doing remixes for Little Lemon's "U" album, released back in '08.

-(March 2nd & 5th_2009) William Tabanou, Robert Shahnazarian (Feudal Productions) and legendary engineer/mixer Allen Sides (Ocean Way Owner) teamed up to do additional post mixing on the "Chris Botti In Boston" Live DVD concert set to release on Blu-ray in April 2009.  This wonderful performance includes such guests as Sting, Steven Tyler, John Mayer. Yo Yo Ma, Josh Groban, Sy Smith, Lucia Micarelli, and Katherine Mcphee.

-(2008-2009) Popera artist Krassimir's new single "Illusion" is set to be released in Bulgaria in November '08 and will be a part of the "Eurovision" competition in May 2009 in Moscow.  The song "Illusion" was composed by Krassimir, William and Casie Tabanou, and was produced by William Tabanou

-(2008) William is currently working with singer/songwriter Parris on her 1st healing music cd compilation, set for release in Fall 2009.
